ASL is so beautiful. I was singing this song to myself and my little sister asked if I was singing “The Lighthouse Song” then she told me that Stephen Torrence had done an ASL video for it so I was excited to see it because I loved his ASL version of Do You Remember (Jack Johnson) - his face is adorable and in this video, heartbreaking. His expression and movements really adds a new level to this emotional song. The lines and movements of the ASL signs and gestures are so graceful in song form and remind me of the beautiful movements in Hula dace. In Hula, every movement has a meaning and a purpose, so it seems very fitting.
